I’d Settle for a Slowdown

I’ve been going through a split up for the past few weeks. It has been extremely difficult because I am the one in love with someone who I thought loved me as well…and didn’t find out until RECENTLY that this was not the case. I do not understand why there is a sudden change, but it’s happening and I see now that there is not much I can do about it. It hurts terribly and I just wish I had answers…I guess not everything comes with answers right away. Maybe if he acted like it bothered him at least a little that I’m going to soon become someone he used to know and if I wasn’t losing him so effortlessly, perhaps then I could cope better. I guess really what I’m trying to say is…I know there’s nothing stopping this now, but I’d settle for a slow down.
